What Is Growing Inside?
This is not a silent exhibition. The materials, tools and works-in-progress are part of the garden too.

Silk Flowers That Do Not Fade
Discover Ronghua, a flower-making technique that transforms loose mulberry-silk fibres and fine copper wire into petals, leaves, insects and miniature landscapes.

Paintings Made with Thread
Look closely at Shu silk embroidery and see how the direction, thickness and sheen of a single thread can create light, shadow and movement.

Making in Progress
Watch members of the Lansei studio team brush silk, attach wire, trim petals, split embroidery thread and assemble flowers by hand.

Materials to Touch
Meet untwisted silk, embroidery thread, wooden rolling boards, copper wire and the wonderfully long scissors used in the Ronghua process.

A Place to Try
Join a workshop or stop by during selected demonstration sessions to experience part of the process yourself.

Sit Down and Make Something with Us
The garden becomes much more interesting when your own hands are involved.
During the pop-up, the Lansei studio team will host a small programme of workshops introducing Ronghua. Some sessions will focus on an entire project; others will offer a shorter encounter with one material or technique.
Free to join · No purchase required · No previous experience needed

Join us for a short hands-on introduction to Ronghua. Using silk petals prepared by our studio, you will learn how to shape, arrange and assemble them into a small flower to take home. No experience or purchase required. All materials are provided.
