Shu Silk Embroidery DIY Kit | Wisteria Lamp

We weren't planning to make a wisteria lamp. It started with a simple question in the studio: "What if our embroidery could glow at night?"

A dangerous question, really. The kind that usually leads to weeks of experimenting, tangled threads, questionable prototypes, and someone saying, "Wait... I think we're onto something."

Several cups of tea later, the idea for this Wisteria Lamp was born.

Inspired by the cascading wisteria vines often found in Chinese gardens, this project combines the delicate beauty of Shu Silk Embroidery with the cozy glow of a bedside lamp. During the day, it's a flowering tree nestled within a wooden frame. At night, it quietly transforms into a moonlit window overlooking a Chinese garden.

The process is surprisingly addictive. One blossom becomes three. Three become ten. Before you know it, you're surrounded by tiny purple flowers and wondering whether your lamp needs "just one more flower."

(Our answer was always yes.)

Place it by your bed, curl up with a book, and see if it inspires purple dreams.

We can't guarantee the dreams, of course. But we can guarantee the wisteria. 😉💜

Note: This kit is available with or without an embroidery frame. The frame can be kept and reused for future pieces. If you already have a loom or embroidery frame at home, you can simply choose the version without.
