What is Ronghua?
A Traditional Chinese silk flower craft — soft thread into beautiful blossoms. Made by hand from silk and annealed copper wire — nothing fades, nothing dies.

You don’t need to be an artist to start creating.

Brush the silk
Turn natural mulberry silk into soft, fluffy velvet fibres.

Create the floral core
Clamp flexible copper wire to form the flower’s structure.

Cut silk strips
Prepare even strips for balanced petals.

Twist into petals
Wrap and twist silk around the wire by hand.

Refine with heat
Smooth and taper petals for clean, elegant tips.

Shape by hand
Curve and open each petal to add depth and softness.

Assemble the flower
Layer petals into a finished ronghua bloom to wear or display.

Not at all! Our kits are designed with beginners in mind. Even if you’ve never tried crafting—or heard of Ronghua before—you’ll be guided every step of the way. We recommend starting with our Pre-made Petals Kits or Level 1 Kits, which are perfect for first-timers. Just follow the video tutorial, and you’ll be amazed by what you can create with your own two hands.
How long does it take to finish a piece?
That depends on the type of kit you choose:
- Pre-made Petal Kits are quicker—you’ll assemble already-prepared petals, and your piece can be finished in around 2 hours.
- Full DIY Kits let you make everything from scratch, from cutting to shaping. These offer a more immersive experience and usually take 6 to 25 hours, depending on the complexity of the design.
Whether you're looking for a relaxing afternoon or a slow, rewarding project, there’s a kit for your pace.
