Tapering Scissors for Ronghua Crafting | Professional No.7

This is the second ronghua kit I've gotten from here and I liked it very much.

As always I received some high quality materials with plenty of excess for if I make mistakes.

I think the instructions for this one weren't as good as the tulip one I did first, especially when it came to figuring out how many threads to use when making the silk strips. So I wouldn't recommend this as the first kit to try, as I think I would have struggled a lot more if I hadn't done another beforehand.

The colours of thread I received were also a bit darker than what is in the picture and tutorial.

But overall, I'm very happy with the little bamboo bonsai I managed to make with this kit and I have heaps of materials left to make something else if I want to.

Ronghua DIY Kit | Birdie in Spring

I have just started embroidering the delicate fan and really enjoying it. The layers of colour and detail are a bit challenging to do but so rewarding. I will have to do another one. As usual, the kit presentation is so elegant and professional.

I ordered a surprise kit (or as my kids call it, a crafty blind box), and got some great summer colors that made a beautiful hair pin, and plenty more to go!

This is my first purchase through lansei and it did not disappoint. High quality materials, detailed instructions and helpful videos. This is not an easy craft but despite never seeing it done in person, I was able to make an acceptable and beautiful piece. I started with level 1 and I do recommend that for beginners. They make it look easier than it is at first. Im excited to try my next piece!!

It just arrived today and the lamp part is amazing - well put together and the light with various levels is great. As usual the fabric and thread kit is beautiful. This is my next project- after I finish the fan.

This fan is so elegant and delicate. And the video is so good both technically and for the detailed instructions. Need more of these definitely.

This review is supposed to be about the tulips, but I'm going to talk about Lansei in general. Ronghua is new to me, and it's hard, but it's also the most fun I've had in forever. Everything is wonderful--the help the Lansei team gives me when I have questions, the tutorials (video and text), the SILK!!! I've been embroidering with filament silk for decades--and this is the best I've ever touched. I gave a bundle to an embroidery friend, and she was impressed too. Another friend touched a silk strip and said "it's so soft I can barely tell I'm touching it." And it's so reasonably priced! I can't recommend Lansei highly enough, both for embroidery and ronghua. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

I have ordered several kits as well as materials from Lansei and the quality of the materials is always the best. I obtain materials from several different places but when I am making a piece that is intended to be gifted or for an important event, I always choose materials from Lansei. Their silk threads are extremely consistent and do not tangle as easily as some from other brands, and they brush out beautifully. The tutorials are always clear. I’m so grateful to have been introduced to this amazing craft!

I have not had the chance to use the kit yet, but I was blown away with the quality and presentation I received (it was a birthday gift from my Husband) The tool kit was stunning, with high quality scissors and a pair of shears, presented in a high quality cloth tool roll tied with a decorative tie. The box all the equipment arrived in, including the straighteners, silks wire etc (also in a high quality cloth pouch) was of a very high standard, with a lovely personal greeting on the box. I ordered the Bamboo stand and cup separately, and again they came presented beautifully. I will always go straight to Lansai for any of the products I need.
