A Lifelong Dedication
Born in 1966 in Zhenhu, Wenying has been wielding the embroidery needle since her early childhood. From a tender age, she apprenticed with seasoned embroiderers, learning the art of embroidery.
Later, she pursued advanced studies at the Suzhou Embroidery Research Institute and the Hangzhou Institute of Arts and Crafts. She has been invited numerous times to participate in embroidery seminars at the Suzhou Embroidery Museum and the Suzhou National Museum.
Establish, Create and Spread
Specializing in various needle techniques, including realistic embroidery and free-form stitching, Wenying Xu founded the 'Gusu Tiangong Embroidery Studio' in the year 2000. In 2023, Xu Wenying expanded here studio after her own name, as 'Xu Wenying Embroidery Studio' at No. 52 Xiupin Road, Zhenhu, Suzhou, China.
Beyond her personal embroidery creations,
Xu is devoted to sharing the art of Suzhou embroidery. She has imparted the fundamentals of embroidery to numerous enthusiasts through teaching sessions at her studio.
