About
Pre-Made Petal Ronghua Kit | Yellow Plum
Every girl dreams of being a fairy once—and this yellow plum hairband (or hair vine, or however your imagination sees it!) brings that daydream gently back to life. Light, joyful, and full of warmth, it feels like a breeze on a golden afternoon.
It reminds us of her—that unforgettable girl in a white dress, dancing barefoot down a sunlit path, laughter trailing behind her. The breeze plays with her hair, just like this flowing lace band—soft, carefree, and full of wonder.
More than just a hairpiece, it can also be worn as a bracelet, adding a whimsical, heartwarming touch to any outfit. Time may pass, but some moments stay with us—bright, delicate, and unforgettable. Just like these yellow plum blossoms, quietly blooming in the corners of our memory.
And here’s the best part—this is a pre-made Ronghua DIY kit, which means the most intricate step (making the individual silk petals) is already done for you. You get to skip straight to the fun: shaping, assembling, and bringing your flower to life. It’s calming, satisfying, and takes just 1–2 hours to complete.
Whether you're crafting a heartfelt gift or treating yourself to a cozy creative afternoon, this kit is a lovely way to slow down and reconnect with your hands.
And if you're wondering how to put it all together—don’t worry. The kit includes a step-by-step guide and a short video tutorial to walk you through the process. Just follow along, add your own creative flair, and enjoy the magic of making.
Please note:
Occasionally, some materials or tools in the kit may be substituted due to limited availability. Any changes will be carefully selected and will not affect the final quality or beauty of your finished flower.

This kit was the second one I made, and I absolutely love how it turned out! The video is so relaxing to watch on repeat that I didn't mind at all listening to it as I worked (as I'm a bit slow moving), and I love the artistry! So easy and I felt very comfortable working with it. I highly recommend these premade petal kits to try this craft! (The photos Are not great because I couldn't take pictures of the back of my head very well)
Highly recommended for complete beginners. You get the perfect sense of how the pieces should look when you decide to tackle this craft yourself.

I've ordered a couple of kits, Purple Magnolia and Birdie in Spring from Lansei China. I also ordered the essential tool kit, bamboo trimming cup and extra silk. I am very pleased with my purchases. The kits are excellent quality and have plenty supplies to complete the flowers. Kits arrive with clear step-by-step instructions and the website has complete instruction videos for all of the kits.
Twisting the wires is the hardest part of creating the flowers. I purchased some climbers chalk and was able to easily twist the wires.
I truly enjoy creating these beautiful flowers and will purchase additional kits in the future.
I love the Lansei kits and equipment, and the results are beautiful.
I have completed a few kits now and I’m hooked! It’s so therapeutic (if a bit fiddly at times)
Everything from start to finish was amazing. The carefully wrapped package, the high quality materials and the detailed tutorials contributed to making my first experience with ronghua a pleasant journey. It's a time consuming process but a rewarding one nevertheless. And remember: don't get disappointed early on, trust the process and your hard work!!! I'll definitely order more in the future.
I have been watching Lansei China for some time and finally became the owner of a few of their kits: the exquisite silk embroidery pin cushion, the silk embroidery hydrangea ear cuff and ear ring and the daffodil Rong Hua kit, complete with tools. I love watching the videos and can see how special these intangible heritage crafts are; upon receiving my package and un wrapping you can see and feel the care taken by Lansei China to ensure we receive a truly wonderful product. I am on with my pin cushion and cannot wait to try (pluck up courage) to have a go at the Rong Hua daffodils.

I have wanted to try this craft for some time now and finally took the plunge. Im only sorry I didn’t do it sooner! As a beginner my first project didn’t turn out quite as planned but I am happy with it. Some steps can be a bit tricky - such as wiring the silks but after a bit of practice I’m getting much better. I contacted Customer Services to find out about specific colours for one project and to clarify the instruction on how to make it and they were extremely helpful and pleasant. It’s not a craft you can rush and I’ve found doing a little bit every evening after work is helping me to unwind.
I have loved learning this technique and am beyond excited about all the possibilities. Beautiful kits, high quality pieces and attention to detail. Loving discovering this.
There's definitely a bit of a learning curve, but it's not inherently hard to do. The part I struggle with the most is remembering to twist the wire in opposite directions to make the spiral tight. Overall I do love the process and am pleased with my results. I needed to make a Peacock tail for a project.
I really enjoyed making my hair pin! I found it came out very similar to the examples and the kit included enough material for me to not get it right the first time and still produce a really nice end product! It was a fun weekend project.
The tutorials were generally good, although I would have found a written summary helpful (E.g. a 1 page with the strips needed, how many threads to include, how wide the place the wires etc.) - I ended up basically creating my own reference sheet by pausing the videos and writing down all the details.
On the kit materials, I ordered both the kit and the tools - everything feels very high quality and was nicely packaged. If anything the scissors almost feel too heavy duty - they feel like they'd be perfect fabric scissors for sewing (high quality) but they move the threads quite a bit when I try to cut the threads into strips - this might be because I'm doing the wire wrong but I feel like smaller (thinner, but still very sharp) scissors might work better?
I’ve wanted to try this for some time so took the plunge and although I’m still finding some of the stages a bit fiddly I am really enjoying building the silk flowers. My first effort wasn’t perfect and I did mess up a little but I didn’t expect to be a pro from the get go. I’m loving this so much I have bought additional tools and I have another kit and extra silks on their way so I can practice more.
I'm addicted to making these flowers! The process is very relaxing, and the end result is gorgeous! I do wish there were written dimensions/instructions so I wouldn't have to refer back to the video, but I can always write those down.
